Thoughts from Mrs. Denham
  • CMS APRIL NEWSLETTER
The end of the year is quickly approaching.  The attached newsletter has important information and dates to communicate upcoming events for students. Hard copies of the newsletter can be obtained in the CMS office.
  • ISTEP+ PART 2 COMING SOON!
The second round of the state ISTEP+ assessment will begin on Monday, 4/18 and be completed for all students on May 6th.  This round of ISTEP+ is taken completing on computers, thus the length of time required to complete all parts of the test is extensive. Attached is a detailed calendar to assist parents in scheduling necessary appointments to prevent a student from missing any part of the test. Remember, once that a student has started any section of the test, they must complete this section to avoid invalidation of their test.
  • Unprecedented Access to Thousands of Digital Books
Through the Hoosier Family of Readers initiative, students and their families across the state will have unlimited access to reading material on myON, giving families an opportunity to share rich literacy experiences together. The following link to the IDOE site will provide more information on how to access free digital books. http://www.doe.in.gov/hoosierreaders/myon-books
  • STUDENT MESSAGES
To ensure that students receive messages during the school day, it is VERY IMPORTANT to contact the CMS office no later than 3PM. Only messages of an urgent nature will be accepted after this time.
