Important Events to Remember

Thoughts from Mrs. Denham
  • April Newsletter
The April newsletter contains information concerning ISTEP+ testing and important dates for end of the year activities. The newsletter can be accessed at this link.
  • Snow Make Up Day Information
The following days will be used to make up the four snow days/school cancellations due to weather that occurred during the weeks of January 8th and 15th:

    April 9th (built in make-up day # 1)

    May 7th (built in make-up day # 2)

    May 25th

May 30th (Official last day for students if no more days missed this year)

May 31th (Last teacher day if no more days missed)

We currently do not have the ability to send mass text messages or emails to parents, SO an option to receive updates is to join the Remind App.  Use the following access information to join. Enter the number 81010 and text the message, @cmsparenta
To ensure that students receive messages during the school day, it is VERY IMPORTANT to contact the CMS office no later than 3PM. Only messages of an urgent nature will be accepted after this time.
  • ISTEP Part 2 Schedule
ISTEP+ starts Monday, April 16th-April 23rd  for 7th grade students at CMS.  8th grade students will be testing from April 24th-April 3oth. The complete schedule can be accessed at this link to assist parents/guardians in planning appointments to avoid testing dates.  All students are required to complete each part of the ISTEP+ assessment to receive a valid score.  Make-ups will be completed daily, but this could cause some students to take multiple tests in one day. Please try to encourage students to do their personal best so CMS can "Rock the Test"!
